"the GT" gets chopped

So took some time off from work.
Spent Thursday firing up the 283 for the first time.
Then Friday went up to Ft Longmont to see Joe.
Well we had a plan, Joe, Alex and me chopped the ol' Tudor.
Looks real sweet with the lowered lid.

Couple pictures ..
Did a couple cool things,
Chopped it 5 1/8" and only chopped the windshield 3 1/16"
Added a 1931 visor to it too.
Took the windshield header area apart. And chopped the A pillars from the top down
and reinstalled the header. ..

Pictures !
no time to fuck around, Joe was on a mission. Off with it's head !

thin cut off wheels slice thru old Fords like warm butter

Checking fit. On Tudor you can chop it in section at a time

Big tacks on inner supports..

Stand back and have a look.. I like it !

Yes !  still needs work. Joe will get it done right.

Farmers daughter surgery ?

Cutting out some of the rusty spots
Sharpie and a scrib tool

makes it easier for me to see where to cut

started rebuilding the wheel well and quarter panel

great trick for removing broken off bolts
weld a new one to it, the heat helps and better gription

still more Farmers Daughter updates, the sedan is taking shape

bent edges and rusty panels

big chunk missing

nice big bullet hole

hey where's the bend?

no more bullet hole

simple tools get it done
(my grandfathers hammer, love that ball peen)

floors getting welded in

floors in, mocking up steering too
