Friday on Friday ?
Don't know what happened yesterday, post failed and switched dates on "frames Ahoy"
Here is Friday's post on Friday.
Peter's "Bean Town Bobber" is back in the shop.
Long weekend working on the hot rod. Sounds perfect to me.
Switched from original 500 Cad, to the earlier style (and much prettier) 390 Cadillac
Just now setting engine/body.
This is going to be one cool truck. 1935/6 Ford

Frames Ahoy - Kansas Coupe
Bob is building a hot rod 1931 coupe.
We built him a swept front frame.
And sent along the whole 9" Ford rear axle set up.
This will be a good one, look at the 1956 Chevy he has in the other stall.

chopped and channeled / Sat on Sat post
If your are thinking about building a hot rod for the first time.
Go to a swap meet, or even eBay and start building a collection of old magazines.
So much cool stuff has been built before us, that is the traditional part of this.
And it's not such a narrow focus as others would have you believe.
I had a guy tell me that my double z'd frame can't build a traditional hot rod.
I say he's wrong. Check out this Model A coupe..
( I have a better answer now for the steering box)

Dodge truck
If you're going to become true dodgeballers, then you've got to learn the five d's of dodgeball: dodge, duck, dip, dive and dodge!
buddy of a pal has a few 1950's dodge trucks.
Low budget build, I figure a IFS front and parallel spring rear kit.
less then $3,000.00 you can get it sitting right. ( I do sell all the parts needed )
If'n it were me, I'd do swap a LS motor and trans from a newer Chevy truck, and do burnouts.
Something like this here;
