Bean Town Bobber update

Peter sent me pictures of the frame as a roller.
Big ol' quick change rear end.  500 inch Cadillac motor ?
My buds from Rally America built the wire wheels for it.
And with Peter's background in paint you know this one is going to be good.

that's gonna look good under the pick up bed, barely peeking out

looking towards the stern from the bow

always a big moment, rolling outside on it's own wheels

new wire wheels made for this pick up project

Spiced Rum sedan, Canada style

Captain Morgan has a sedan.
Gary built up in Eastern Canada.
A fine drivable car it is. And a sturdy well designed chassis.
Yup, it's a Riley Automotive double Z'd frame .
Suspension that articulates properly, brakes that function, and a normal seating position.
Other Spiced Rum sedans can't say all that.
(but it was a cool commercial)

One year after I shipped it to him. Done !
And plans are in the works for a truck soon.
(let's get a bourbon on board mate!)
remember the cocktail shakers convertible Camaro's had?

1928 Dodge 4 door update Hemi is in !

Now shit is getting done !
First fitment of the early Hemi.
we planned for this when we spec'd out the chassis.
tires are just rollers, but I think it needs wide whites for sure

first stab, pretty close

I like it !

Intoducing " The farmers daughter" Model A sedan project.

Well I got this rough old Tudor from Matt last week (ish)
And figure I could do a series of short articles as I work on her.
Some things might be painfully obvious to some , but I do want to hit
on some real basic hot rod building tips.

At first look I was thinking just patch her up and wipe her down.
Upon further reflection...  ah I just can't work on rusty metal.
So it will be going to the sand blasters.
Before trucking her over to Colorado powder coat and sand blasting,
I have to strip her down to the last little bit.
Spent a couple hours today with a screwdriver and my torch.
Heat the screws up red hot and take em out.
On the drivers door managed to only break one off..
at least it's not all dented up

I think the farmer was mad

a few inches missing all the way around

artsy shot to pretty up the post

door handle is really stuck in the latch

the latch lost the fight

door all stripped down to the bare bones.
leaving it on the hinges, as not to piss off neighbors too bad
doing it in my driveway.. shh

some of the parts removed from what looked like a bare body

A vs A

Here is a stock 1929 Model A pick up on the left
and a 1929 Tudor on the right.
The Tudor is on my double Z'd chassis (not chopped and not channeled)
Nice comparison of ride heights (thanks Matt)

and yes that is the truck I've featured going on a swept front frame. Repeat chassis customer

Todd's sedan- the last post

Met up with my buddy Ben D. for dinner at a diner
and to say fair well to Todd's sedan.
Dipshit sold it after driving it twice and bought a purple Nova
Hope the new owner drives the snot out of it. I know I would.
