Zane in CA,update on roadster project

I like it a lot. The body on top of the frame. The stance is lower because it's our swept front chassis
The roadster will be a stand out I'm sure. Zane's work is nice and it will show.
(search 'zane" in the little box to see all the blog posts on him)
little different filter..

Puerto Rico,hot rod coupe...

soon.
yes the big old box made it to Puerto Rico in fine shape
Can you imagine a 1930 Ford coupe with a big block driving
around old San Juan ?  I was there as a teen-ager,and back then the locals

were in love with drag racing..anything.Mostly 4 cylinder imports.

Can't wait to see how this build turns out.

there it is, exactly as it left my driveway in Denver Colorado
2,687 miles according to Google maps
to his garage in PR

Here's the motor that's going in it !

it was worth all the extra effort to make the crate, everything is still there !

tips, bloggin' and how to leave a message

Blog tip,if you see something interesting on here,do a search in the little box at upper left hand corner. Say you like the pic's of Todd's sedan from yesterday. Search "Todd" and see all the posts on his chassis/car going together.I try to tag projects with the same name as updates come in.

leaving a phone message. If your phone call makes it to my answering machine.
please leave a message. It gets converted to a email and I get it in a few minutes .

Leaving me 30 messages in a matter of days will not make me call you back
faster,it just clogs up the system and pisses me off. I'm not always at the phones.
Last week and this week I have extra duties, and my phones will suffer.

email me directly at RILEYAUTO@COMCAST.NET

Cool picture of a 1930 roadster..........

Inside my home...car parts? hot rod decor?

My brother sent me a picture of a coffee table made out of a old V-8..(got me thinking)
I know guys (and gals) that have hot rod stuff as decorations...
Tool boxes for TV stands..shift handles on toilets, and everything in between

I don't know if my regular friends even notice the stuff in our home.
I tried to be a little bit more subtle then a flamed refrigerator
For instance, going up the stairs a have framed black and white photo's
(cheapo frames) the pictures are original proofs from Halibrand's photo
shoot of magnesium wheels in the early 1960's..  I really like it..

A nice colorful Jeff Norwell design for a car show I sponsored

movie I've never seen poster, but that is the Scritchfield roadster !
windowsill full of HotWheels, just kinda happened..

Put on your big boy pants

Great old Ace Hardware next town over
Had to make several trips today to fix a machine
Come on look at the size of these pants ! ! .
think they were 60" waist

Kewanee,the frame has landed.

Shipped a frame to Kewanee IL,went to the local Harley shop.
Good to have friends with a loading dock.I appreciate it when I receive a note.
Keep in touch, let me know when you're ready for the rear spring (special built Posies is the one needed)and the ladder bars etc..

Eric,
Just received the frame today and wanted you all to know it looks great.  Great job done on the frame and I am very happy with it.  Will send pics later and will probably be getting ahold of you in the future for all weld on parts for the rear end.  Thanks again!

A frame a day keeps the apples away. Frames ahoy

Larry in Ca flathead double Z'd on pallet rear axle in box.

Mr.Stone,el roberto aka bobber update

He's killing it.Or as Guy would say, It's off the hook ! playing with filters again..

I would think about adding in some detail to the bed sides
Simple stack pockets would do the trick
Or like Casey did on his "Flight truck" WTF
Some cut out and riveted on body lines...?
